Super Series Singles & Doubles Event
Super Series (3) Sunday 11th August, we saw another amazing turn out for the Super Series with both Singles and Doubles events. The event saw many new faces and a high level of players with a special mention to one player that was able to take home two crowns.
The Super Series Doubles event saw Pavlo Krymskiy & Ivan Griga take the prestigious trophies home to their families after big serving and dynamic doubles tactics proved too much for the other teams. In the Final Pavlo & Ivan took on the strong serving Jack Wimpey & Allen Zhang. Four big servers made it tough for returning but with smart court positioning and net control, Pavlo & Ivan were able to make the fine margins count.

The Super Series Singles event started with some dominant performances from the eventual Semi-Finalist in the Round Robin stage. Jack Wimpey manage to only lose 1 game in his 4 round robin matches. The ever-smiling Uri Grigoriev was able to battle past Aleks Gaidukov in the Round Robin stages to make the Semi-Finals. Pavlo Krumskiy was able to storm through the Round Robin stages only dropping 3 games along the way and Igor Korolev’s counter punching from the baseline managed to get him past some tough opponents to qualify for the Semi-Finals.
The Semi-Finals were very contrasting matches, Pavlo stormed into the Final with a 4-0 victory over Uri and Igor battled back after Jack was 2 points away from victory to win 7-5 in the Tiebreak. The Final was when Pavlo managed to kick on and hit through the counter punching Igor to take the victory 4-1.
