A Weekend to Remember

In true US fashion, our New York Open was memorable for all the right reasons. From epic comebacks and surprising upsets to dramatic medical timeouts caused by muscle cramps, the tournament had it all.

The day began with the Gentlemen’s Doubles. Our champions, Fabrice from France and Carl from Australia, remained unbeaten throughout the event. Their combination of French elegance and Aussie spirit proved unstoppable, as they navigated every round with confidence and precision.

As the afternoon set in, attention turned to the Ladies’ Doubles. Stella and Seina, both traveling from Hong Kong, not only showcased their sharp sense of style but also demonstrated that their skills more than matched their fashion. Playing with fluid teamwork and control, they dominated the field and dropped only a single game across the entire tournament.

The highlight of the day came with the Singles draw, featuring 12 players battling for the coveted title of Singles Champion. After surviving their groups and storming through the semi-finals, the final clash was set between Suneet from India—flying in from Tokyo—and Tom from the Netherlands, who traveled halfway around the world to compete. In a match that kept the crowd on edge, Suneet ultimately claimed the title with a display of grit and consistency, overcoming Tom’s trademark steadiness.

The New York Open was not just about the competition; it was about community, sportsmanship, and the shared love of the game.

A big thank-you goes out to all the players, supporters, and spectators who helped create such an electric atmosphere throughout the weekend.

We now look forward to our NEXT major event, our annual Play in Pink tournament on October 5th 2025. This special event not only brings exciting competition but also raises awareness for an important cause. Mark your calendars and join us for another unforgettable day on the courts.
